Description:
As part of the effort to rehabilitate 65 storefronts in the Reseda and Canoga Park commercial districts, the CRA/LA has provided financial and technical assistance to upgrade facades and signage. To provide assistance, the CRA/LA must obtain a full block of participating businesses or property owners. Participants are required to use CRA/LA-offered design services to ensure compatibility of pallette, signage and other design elements.

Redevelopment Purpose:
Retain and restore the appearance of project area businesses by providing financial assistance for physical improvements and promoting a positive image for the community. Create an environment that reflects a high level of commitment to architectural and urban design principles.

FY08 Milestones:
Close out the project with 65 storefront improvement projects.
