East Valley Region Business Assistance Program


On behalf of the East Valley Region of The Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Los Angeles (“CRA/LA”), I would like to extend our warmest welcome to you. In an effort to invest our resources toward business expansion, attraction and retention, we are pleased to provide commercial property owners and tenants with the East Valley Region Business Assistance Program (“BAP”).

As part of our business assistance efforts, this exciting program delivers direct and quick funding so businesses can grow and thrive.

BAP Description:

The BAP is a forgivable loan program designed to provide economic revitalization assistance and create or retain Living Wage jobs for commercial property owners and commercial tenants. The word “commercial” shall mean those industrial, manufacturing, retail, medical, social assistance, and arts/entertainment businesses--both for-profit and non-profit.

BAP funds may be used for:

• Building Exterior: rehabilitation, exterior façade, signage, architectural features, additional square footage, and improvements necessary to correct code violations.
• Building Interior: tenant improvements, heating/cooling systems, additional space, and improvements necessary for business or to correct code violations.
• Feasibility Assistance: technical assistance in the form of business or environmental sustainability evaluation/ consultation, project facilitation, architectural, design, construction management, and/or permit processing assistance.
