Eastside Regional Area

Mr. Valenzuela is the CRA/LA Regional Administrator for the Eastside Regional Area. The Eastside Region is responsible for the Adelante Eastside and Monterey Hills project areas. There are 8 staff members deployed in the Eastside Region.

General Description

The Eastside Region consists of two project areas, including the Adelante Eastside Redevelopment Project and the Monterey Hills Redevelopment Project. The region’s priority projects are designed to provide housing and business opportunities.

Redevelopment Goals

These include revitalizing the industrial base, increasing commercial choices, providing low interest residential rehabilitation loans, public improvements and lot conversions.

Geography

The Region's Monterey Hills project is a 100% Residential Redevelopment Project situated four miles northeast Downtown Los Angeles.

The Adelante Eastside Project is immediately East of Los Angeles along the Eastern Edge of the Los Angeles River and is predominantly Industrial and commercial in nature
