Building & Other Permit Approval

The Mid-City Recovery Redevelopment Project Plan requires CRA/LA’s review and approval of all Department of Building and Safety permit applications for compliance with the Plan. The Mid-City Recovery Redevelopment Plan contains development standards regarding permitted land uses, density, setbacks and sensitivity to historic sites and structures. Developers and contractors are strongly advised to contact Steven Jones, City Planner at (213) 977-1988 early in the process in order to prevent last minute difficulties.

Signs

Sign permit applications must be routed to CRA/LA staff for review and approval prior to installation. Please consult the Mid-City Recovery Redevelopment Plan for complete details on the information provided herein.

Permits may be obtained through the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety at their public counters:

Information may be obtained at the LADBS regional offices indicated above, or by telephone (818)LA4-BUILD.

On line information on specific parcels is available at LADBS/Permitsand zoning and Community Plan maps are available on the City's Zoning Information Map Access System ("ZIMAS")
