Project Area Overview
The 1,107-acre Hollywood Redevelopment Project is located approximately six miles northwest of the Los Angeles Civic Center at the foot of the Hollywood Hills. The project is generally bounded by Franklin Avenue on the north, Serrano Avenue on the east, Santa Monica Boulevard and Fountain Avenue on the south and La Brea Avenue on the west.  The Redevelopment Plan for the area sets forth an array of goals that include encouraging economic development; promoting and retaining the entertainment industry; revitalizing the historic core; preserving and expanding housing for all income groups; meeting social needs of area residents; providing urban design guidelines; and preserving historically significant structures.  The project is included in the CRA/LA Hollywood & Central Regional Area.
