Description:

The CRA/LA provided LACE with a 15 year rehabilitation loan for the adaptive reuse of an industrial building into four 1,000 sq. ft. artist live/work studios plus office and exhibition space. All units were for low and moderate income rental occupancy.

Artist Profile

Susan Cheal received her MFA from the University of Texas, San Antonio in 1989. She is currently an assistant professor in Drawing and Painting at the University of North Texas in Denton. Recent exhibitions include:   Flatbed Press, Austin; the Longview Museum of Art, San Antonio; El Centro College Gallery, San Antonio; and Collaborative Concepts, New York City.  Cheal was one of thirty-six artists selected to participate in the Texas Biennial 2005.
