Elyn Zimmerman

Project Area:  CBD-South Park
Project:  TCW Tower
Project Location:  865 S. Figueroa Street
Project Type:  Developer Initiated

On the edge of the TCW Tower facing Figueroa is Elyn Zimmerman’s monumental fountain Lithos, a site installation consisting of three granite fountains.  Two of the fountains are located near the entrance to the office building; the third fountain is located directly inside the lobby.  Like a serendipitous waterfall or spring in the forest, the meditative sounds of falling water drown out the traffic on the street, providing a refreshing retreat from the urban environment.  All three fountains feature rough-hewn Carnelian granite stone.
