Glenn WassermanGlenn Wasserman joined the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Los Angeles as COO on September 18, 2006. Before that, as a partner in the law firm of Kane, Ballmer & Berkman, Mr. Wasserman practiced redevelopment and municipal law for 24 years, as counsel to numerous redevelopment agencies, cities and other public entities, as well as non-profit and for-profit housing developers, working on a broad range of significant and complex public-private real estate and affordable housing transactions.

In addition to the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Los Angeles, his clients included the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Diego, the County of San Diego, the City of Carlsbad, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Ontario, the Orange Redevelopment Agency, the Housing Authority of the City of Glendale, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redondo Beach, the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, the City of Moorpark, the Community Development Commission of the City of Oxnard, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Palmdale, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Clara, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Huntington Beach, Menorah Housing Foundation and Sondermann-Ring Partners.

 He has been a frequent lecturer on redevelopment and affordable housing issues, including serving as an instructor in Redevelopment Law at the California Redevelopment Association’s CRA Institute.

 After being admitted to the California Bar in 1975, Mr. Wasserman served as an attorney in the U.S. Department of Transportation's Honors Program for Law Graduates, as a litigator for the U.S. Urban Mass Transportation Administration (UMTA) and as the UMTA regional counsel in New York City, where he was admitted to the New York State bar in 1981. He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut (B.A. with honors, 1970), and the UCLA School of Law (J.D., 1975).
